It can be overwhelming learning about all of our employee programs and initiatives, so allow us to break it down for you.
Money for Time: For every 15 hours an employee volunteers with one nonprofit in a calendar year, Gap Inc. will donate $150 to the partner nonprofit.
Take Five: Employees can take up to five "on the clock" hours per month to volunteer (exempt corporate employees only).
Skill-based Volunteerism & 10% Team: Programs that leverage employees' professional expertise with nonprofit partners and for Foundation initiatives.
Community Leaders: Employees who serve as liaisons between Gap Foundation and their area. Ideally, there would be one Community Leader for every department, store and DC. If you are interested in becoming a Community Leader, send an email to Gap Foundation with your name, brand and location/store number.
In Action Days: Team volunteer days for employees in corporate offices.
Board Service Match: Financial contributions to nonprofits where Gap Inc. leaders serve on a nonprofit board (senior director and above for corporate; regional director and above for field).
Camp Old Navy: One-day job shadowing program that brings youth from Boys & Girls Clubs to over 400 Old Navy stores and exposes them to career opportunities (held annually in July).
Community Corps: Recognition program that sends teams of employees on builds with Habitat for Humanity.
Founders' Award: Encourages employees to partner with community organizations to develop entrepreneurial social programs. Winners receive grants for their partner organizations and paid time off to implement the project.
